This was confirmed by Iyke Igbokwe a member of the Nigeria Football Federation Disciplinary Committee. According to him, the committee will have no choice than to recommend Keshi’s sack if discovered he actually applied to coach African champions Cote d’ Ivoire.
He said, “If it is proved that he indeed applied to coach Ivory Coast when he is still coaching the Super Eagles, then that is a breach of trust.
“We will then recommend (to the executive committee) that he be relieved of his job.”
However, Keshi have lamented the situation and have denied the allegation in strong terms.
On his path, the NFF president Amaju Pinnick believes the matter would be thoroughly investigated but stated that it would be “suicidal” for Keshi to apply for another job when his contract with NFF is yet to expire.
News making rounds is that Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has applied to tutor the Yaya Toure led side Cote’ d Ivoire, who won the last African Nations Cup (AFCON) in Equitorial Guinea.
