The deceased who was reportedly preparing for his daughter’s wedding coming up on Nov. 1 was employed by the corporation on casual basis as a ticket checker after his formal retirement from the NRC. The witness said that the deceased fell while trying to move from one coach to the other to check passengers’ tickets.
NAN reports that the mutilated body of the deceased was covered with cellophane and put in a corner of the station as at the time of this report.
It was gathered that Peters was yet to collect his pension as at the time of the incident.
Officers at the station refused to make comments as they directed NAN to the corporation’s headquarters in Ebute-Metta.
At the headquarters, officials also refused to make comments as they said they needed to consult with the family of the deceased.
