Keshi Ranked Africa’s Best Coach

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi, has been ranked the number one coach in Africa and 14th in the world. The rankings by Football Coach World Ranking for September placed Keshi ahead of sacked Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah. Keshi moved up two places from last rankings despite not earning any point this month, while Appiah moved up one place to 32nd in the latest rankings.

The ranking of the top 50 coaches is dominated by managers who coached at the World Cup, with the top 15 almost exclusively for those who excelled at the World Cup with the exception of Spain’s Vicente Del Bosque who is placed second even though his side crashed in the group stage.
