Start Producing Weapons - President Buhari To Defence Ministry

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday directed the Ministry of Defence to produce a plan for the establishment of a military industrial complex for the local production of weapons for the use of the nation’s armed forces. According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President gave the directive at the graduation ceremony of the National Defence College, Abuja.

He said the location production of weapons was meant to end the current over-dependence on other countries for military equipment and logistics. He said such a thing was not acceptable to his administration.

“We must evolve viable mechanisms for near-self-sufficiency in military equipment and logistics production complemented only by very advanced foreign technologies.

Business came to a halt in Zambia, after a white “Jesus” grabbed people’s attention and left tongues wagging after he was seen walking down the streets of Chipata town in Zambia.

Dressed in a long white robe and wearing long hair and long beard, the white “Jesus”, who was later on established to be an Italian tourist named Antonio Boretti, drew people’s attention because of his garb. His entire appearance resembled that of  the Western image of Jesus that has been engraved in most people’s minds, leading most Christians in Zambia to believe that he was “Jesus” coming back for the  second time to judge the world.

ISIS Abduct 60 Christians And 230 People In New Attack

Islamic State fighters ISIS have reportedly captured at least 230 people including 60 Syrian Christians after taking a town in the province of Homs.

According to new reports from Syria, The hostages were reportedly taken in the town of Al Quaryatayn, which is the biggest capture by ISIS in Syria since the taking of Palmyra in May.

The town has a mixed population of 40,000 and shelters thousands of refugees, who have fled from fighting elsewhere in Syria. Among the abducted Christians are many children and women according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
