Jackie Chan Now World's Second Highest Paid Actor

Jackie Chan landed 38th on Forbes' latest celebrity rich list, making him the second highest-paid actor in the world.

While Chan hasn't starred in an American live action film in five years, he's pocketed an estimated 50 million USD over the past 12 months, second only to American actor Robert Downey Jr., who came in 8th place on the list with 80 million USD in earnings.

Naira Drastically Falls To 230, Dollar Supply Dries Up

These are definitely not interesting times for the nation’s economy, particularly the national currency, the Naira, no thanks to the depleting reserves and the subsequent banning of importers of 41 items from the foreign exchange market by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Barely 10 days after the CBN stopped forex sale to importers of rice, textile and 39 other items, the naira on Wednesday crashed to 230 against the United States dollar at the parallel market, down from 218 recorded on June 23 when the new forex rule was introduced.

Internet Love Scam: EFCC Returns €10,000 French Citizen (Photos)

Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered and returned 10,000 euros to F. Mercade, a French citizen, who was victim of internet love scam.
The fund was wired to the victim through his account in France on the recommendation of the French Embassy in Nigeria.

Roger Balima, French Police Liaison Officer who confirmed the receipt of the funds by the victim, thanked the EFCC “for the good job.”

Chris Brown has had it with baby mama Nia Guzman’s child support and custody demands, so he’s asking a judge to lay down the law once and for all. TMZ Reports.
Chris and Nia have been at war over 1-year-old Royalty for a long time now. She’s demanding $15k a month in child support, but Chris Brown doesn’t think it is a fair amount.
Due to this reason, he has filed legal documents in Houston to establish paternity of baby Royalty. That will give him the right to fight Nia over support and custody.

Petrol now sells for N500 Per Litre in Anambra State

Anambra people are currently not in a happy mood as fuel now sells for N500 per litre in the state. This is due to the closure of most filling stations in protest over what they described as high levies imposed on them by the state government. In order to protest the high levies, most filling Stations shut down leading into fuel scarcity in the state.

Black market sellers however resulted in selling theirs at N500 per litre for those who can afford it, a situation the indigenes have described unbearable.

36 Dead, 19 Missing As Ferry With Over 173 passengers Capsize (Video)

36 people have died and 19 are missing after an inter-island ferry carrying 173 passengers capsized in the central Philippines minutes after leaving port, says the Philippine coast guard.
Coast guard spokesman Armand Balilo says 118 people have been rescued in Ormoc city on central Leyte island, where the ferry capsized Thursday.

The vessel which was said to have set sail from Ormoc City, Leyte Province was bound for Camotes Island, east of Cebu on Thursday when the disaster occurred.

The invasion of Nigerian Customs Service Base in Oron, Akwa Ibom State by suspected heavily armed Niger Delta militants has resulted in the death of an officer and the loss of about 10 rifles belonging to the security agency.

According to a source, the last time the militants invaded prior to this incidence, they over powered the marine police and carted away their arms while the policemen fled for their lives. The source also added that the militants were better armed than the police in the area
