Davido In NDLEA Trouble Over 'Fans Mi' Video Ft Meek Mill (See)

Multiple award winner and international act, Davido, who shot to lime light  few years back with the monster hit 'Damiduro', may have bitten more than he can chew, as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency-NDLEA is currently investigating him over the video of his new hit 'Fans mi'. The song features American rapper Meek Mills who is currently dating Nicki Minaj.

The NDLEA is said to currently be investigating Davido (real name David Adeleke) for showcasing hard drugs in the video. In the flick, Davido is seen discussing with an unidentified man as they haggle over a briefcase of dollars and a bag full of parcels of hard drugs. There are also lewd scenes in the video.

President Buhari orders arrest of wife's younger brother

President Muhammadu Buhari has allegedly ordered Nigeria’s security agents to arrest his brother-in-law for allegedly extorting money from an unnamed businessman. According to  SaharaReporters,a close confidant of the president  said the suspect, named Musa Yola, was the immediate younger brother of Mr. Buhari’s wife.

Our source disclosed that the suspect, also addressed as “Alhaji Yola,” reportedly received N300 million from a businessman after promising to provide his dupe with political access to secure an oil block from the Buhari administration. According to our source, Mr. Buhari personally ordered last Monday night that Mr. Yola be produced before him in handcuffs in the company of the businessman he duped.

Breaking News: Fire Guts Agip Oil Facility In Rivers

The Agip oil company centre in Ebocha in Ogba Egbema Ndoni LGA in Rivers was yesterday gutted by fire. According to a citizen reporter, Lukeson Oguchi, the fire started at about 11pm after a loud explosion.

The cause of the fire or number of casualties is yet to be ascertain. Fire fighters are still battling to put out at the fire as at the time of this report.

Banks To Ban 14.6 million Customers

Come Wednesday July 1, 2015, Deposit Money Banks will start denying about 14.6 million customers access to banking services. The Bankers’ Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) attributed it to their failure to obtain the compulsory Bank Verification Numbers (BVNs).

The BVN initiative which commenced in February 2014 obliges customers to do biometric registration and obtain BVN; a unique number for proper identification.
This will also help banks identify customers through their fingerprints. Each bank customer’s fingerprint is linked to a unique number.

Africa’s richest man and foremost business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has disclosed that despite his wealth, he has no residential property outside Nigeria.

Dangote, whose 2015 net worth was put at $21.6billion, according to Forbes, also revealed how the late Chief M. K. O. Abiola discouraged him from investing in the media.

The business mogul stated this during an interactive meeting with senior media executives in Lagos at the weekend.

Bukola Saraki Is Not Even A Nigerian Citizen - SaharaReporters Publishes His British Passport Online

Controversial publication Sahara Reporters, took to Facebook on Sunday to declare that Senate President, Bukola Saraki is not a Nigerian.

The publication also accuses him of theft. he photo is captioned “Bukola Saraki: The President of the Nigerian Senate Is not Even A Nigerian Citizen.”

In the second post, the above documents are displayed, along with caption “Some police officers found out that Bukola Saraki, who is Nigeria’s Senate President, was a petty thief as of 1990, he was actually charged with theft of N510,000 at Societe Generale Bank of Nigeria.

Kidnapped Ex-FUTA Chancellor Found Dead In His Compound (Photos)

The body of kidnapped former Vice-Chancellor of the ‎Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Prof. Albert Ilemobade has been found. Sadly, his body was found this morning in his own compound in Akure at an abandoned store outside the main building where cables are been kept.

The police have so far arrested two persons in connection with the killing, and his gate man that was earlier reported to have been kidnapped with him is now a major suspect.

Philippine Church stands firm against gay marriage

The leadership of the Philippines’ dominant Roman Catholic church stressed its opposition to legalising gay marriage on Sunday despite last week’s landmark decision by the US Supreme Court.

The Philippine government meanwhile affirmed that under its law, marriage is still between a man and a woman and only an act of Congress can change this, unlike in the United States.

“The Church continues to maintain what it has always taught. Marriage is a permanent union of man and woman,” said Archbishop Socrates Villegas, the president of the influential Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines.
