President Buhari plans to totally remove fuel subsidy and use the proceeds for the provision of free and compulsory primary/secondary education across the country. The administration is also said to be working on unbundling the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to make it more efficient in the production and delivery of products to Nigerians. The Main Reason Wike Is Probing Amaechi - APC
Thought In a statement signed by the party chairman in the state, Dr. Davies Ikanya, the APC describe the to-be probe as a wild goose chase. The All Progressives Congress in River State reacted to claims by Governor Nyesom Wike that immediate past governor, Rotimi Amaechi will be probed.
Last week Wike assigned a seven-man Judicial Commission of Inquiry with Justice George Emereji as chairman to investigate the immediate past administration.However, the party said Amaechi ran a transparent administration reminding the governor of how, his predecessor always gave account of his expenses to Rivers people on a quarterly basis during his eight years in office as governor.

What Governor Wike Is Planning To Do Traditional Rulers Favoured By Amaechi
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has vowed to upturn the status of some traditional rulers in state who are believed to have been favoured by the former Governor Rotimi Amaechi for political expediency while he will restore the status of those allegedly victimized unjustly by the ex-governor.
In furtherance of his desire to correct what what he regards as “unfortunate politicisation of the traditional institution” by the former governor, he said: “I have sent an Executive Bill to the Rivers House of Assembly to repeal some sections of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council law, which the former Governor hurriedly passed in one of the rooms in Government House”.

Boko Haram: EU Donates N4.7bn To Internally Displaced People
The European Commission has donated N4.7b to help internally displaced people affected by the activities of the Boko Haram terror group. In a statement on Saturday, the EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Christos Stylianides, while on a visit to Nigeria, said, more than 1.7 million people have been displaced by the terror of Boko Haram. Many of them live in precarious conditions in parts of Nigeria and the neighbouring countries where they have fled.”

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has resumed in his office inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for the first time today, June 22nd, 2015 since he was inaugurated on May 29th. The Vice-President of the Federation, Professor Yemi Osinbajo also resumed today for the first time.
Reports howver says the president moved into the villa yesterday to meet with his wife, three days after Mrs Aisha Buhari moved into the villa. We say a big welcome to them.

Pastor Oyedepo Curses Kidnappers & Their Sponsors
Following the kidnapping of a Winners Chapel Pastor in Calabar, Pastor Oyedepo of Living Faith Church Worldwide yesterday cursed all kidnappers in the country and their sponsors.
It was gathered that a Winners Chapel Pastor in Calabar, Cross River state was kidnapped on the 13th of June, 2015 and the kidnappers later contacted the church demanding for N60m ransom. Oyedepo however asked that he should be put online to talk to the kidnappers. When they eventually put him online, he asked if they knew whom they well talking to and they said yes, he then told them that they shall be cursed and whoever has sent them too shall be cursed. Frightened about the negative pronouncement, the kidnappers quickly released the Pastor without any ransom.

Jigawa Governor donates 8,000 goats to widows
The Governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Badaru says as part of measures to empower women in his state, his administration has concluded plans to donate 8,000 goats to widows in the state.
Speaking with newsmen in Dutse the state capital today June 22nd, Governor Badaru said between 25 and 30 widows would be selected from each of the 287 wards in the state to benefit from the programme and that each of the widows will be given 2 she-goats and one he-goat to rear.
