Asari Dokubo Threatens Buhari With War And Bloodshed

Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, former militant leader has warned President-elect Muhammadu Buhari against undermining the interest of the Niger Delta.

According to Cable News, Asari-Dokubo issued a warning on Sunday during the annual Isaac Adaka Boro’s memorial public event convened by Rex Anighoro, spokesman of the Niger Delta People Salvation Front (NDPSF).

Buhari Must Drop “General” Title From His Name after May 29 - Nigeria Decide Democracy

The President Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari will be dropping the title “General” from his name after he is sworn in on May 29. This was revealed by his Media team in Abuja on Sunday.

It was contained in a statement signed by the Director, Directorate of Media and Publicity of the President Elect, Mallam Garba Shehu which also released the official portrait of Buhari and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. It reads;

The United States’ House of Representatives has said that Boko Haram is still a threat to the American country.

At a hearing held on Friday by the House Foreign Affairs Committee, while passing the amendment to the National Defence Authorisation Act to combat Boko Haram, the US’ lawmakers stated that the insurgents’ activities could not be ignored despite the heat they currently are experiencing from the Nigerian troops.

Jay Z slams Google, YouTube, Spotify, and others for criticizing Tidal

While performing at a private show at Terminal 5 in New York for Tidal subscribers, Jay Z launched into a blistering attack against those he said are criticizing his new streaming service, Tidal. He lashed out at Google, Youtube, Spotify and a host of others.

He claimed he was being depicted as 'the bad guy' because he's going against the grain, before turning on Google and YouTube for underpaying artists, claiming they 'pay you a tenth of what you supposed to get'. 'You know n***as die for equal pay right?  You know when I work I ain't your slave right?' he rapped.

I ask for forgiveness from those we have offended - Pres. Jonathan

While delivering his valedictory speech at the special thanksgiving and farewell service organized by Aso Villa Chapel yesterday May 17th, President Jonathan asked for forgiveness from those who might have felt offended by any of the moves his government made, stating that such moves were not intended to deliberately hurt anyone. He said no human institution is ever perfect. He urged everyone to pursue work towards a better Nigeria even as they leave government positions.

Nigerian Police reacts to human flesh restaurant in Anambra report

Last week, there was a report by BBC that an Akwa based restaurant was closed down by the Police for selling human flesh in its menu.But,the Anambra State Police Command on Sunday debunked the report.
But in a telephone interview with Punch on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Uche Eze, said,
 “There was nothing like that. I advise you to ignore that report. It’s not true and it did not happen. We don’t have such record. It’s embarrassing.”
