4 Nigerians executed for drug trafficking in Indonesia have been buried (Photos)

The four Nigerians alongside eight other drug traffickers have been executed in Indonesia despite appeals not to.

According to the pastors who were with them in their final hours, some of the men including Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran declined to wear blindfolds and were singing as they were shot by a 13-member firing squad in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

LASU Students Plead With Management, Fashola To Re-Open School

The students of Lagos State University, LASU has pleaded with the school management and the Lagos State Governor to please re-open the university so that they can continue with their academic activities. The management of the institution had on March 25, 2015 shut down the school in a statement titled ‘Election recess,’ where the students and workers were asked to vacate the university premises. It however added that a resumption date will be announced later on.

Chibok Girls NOT Among 293 Girls, Women Rescued

After the defence headquarters yesterday said Nigerian troops yesterday rescued over 200 girls and 93 women from Sambisa forest, a lot of Nigerians had high hopes that after screening and profiling the girls, some of them will turn out to be part of the Chibok girls who have been missing since last year April. However, the spokesperson for the army, Sani Usman, a colonel, has told Reuters news agency the rescued girls were not, from Chibok. They are not the Chibok girls, he said.

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Alhaji Sanusi, a lawyer, from Kano State takes over from Mallam Habib Abdullahi who has been relieved of his appointment as Managing Director of the NPA.
