Chai! Change Has Started As Sokoto State APC Chieftains Arrested

With just hours to the 2015 presidential elections, SaharaReporters has been informed of the detention of some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Sokoto State command of the Department of State Security (DSS)

Those under arrest include Alhaji Mu’azu Zabira, the chairman of APC’s Security Committee.  The home of another APC chieftain, Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo was raided, during which Alhaji Abubakar Kani was arrested.  Up to the time of this report, no information was available with regard to where they are, or the offences for which they are being held.

Three staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), have reportedly died in Benue State.The victims, said to be ad-hoc staff, reportedly died while discharging their duties during the general elections.

This was revealed on Sunday, March 29, by the Resident Commissioner (REC) of INEC in the state, Istfanus Dafwang.

Two Lesbians Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison According To Nigerian Anti-Gay Law

The police in Ogidi Anambra state have arrested two young ladies identified as Chioma from Umudioka in Dunukofia council area, of the state and one Amaka for allegedly engaging in lesbianism.

The suspects, according to a police source, were caught while indulging in the unholy act in a beer parlour belonging to one of them.

Reliably gathered that members of the homosexuality and lesbianism family in the state have started mobilising lawyers to make sure that the two ladies and their other members currently in police net are not sent to jail.

Former  President,  Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu  Buhari over his victory at the Saturday presidential polls.

Obasanjo  in his congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta shortly after Buhari was declared winner of the election, said  his government must reposition some  national institutions such as Military, security power among others which according to him  had been damaged.

PDP supporters protest in Nasarawa over results

Hundreds of youths sympathetic to the Peoples Democratic Party protested in Nasarawa State on Tuesday against some results of the National Assembly elections announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state.

The youths protested against the declaration of Lafia/Obi federal constituency inconclusive by INEC.
The returning officer in-charge of the constituency election, Mr. Ishaleku David, had on Monday announced that the election conducted for the constituency was inconclusive.

President Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, To Address Nigerians By 11am Today

President elect, General Muhammadu Buhari is to address his supporters and the nation at 11.000am on Wednesday.

Party officials announced the decision to cancel the address at about 12.54am after a long wait for the Independent National Electoral Commission to officially announce the winner of the election.
