What!! Chadian aircraft bombs Nigerian town trying to kill boko haram members

Chadian aircraft on Saturday bombed the Nigerian town of Gamboru in a raid targeting Islamist extremist group Boko Haram, security sources said. A raid was carried out around midday by two fighter jets on the town in Nigeria’s far northeast along the Cameroon border, sources from Chad and Cameroon said on condition of anonymity.

Boko Haram overran the town several months ago as part of its campaign to seize territory in the region and create an Islamic state.

The Boko Haram uprising has become a regional crisis, with the four directly affected countries — Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Nigeria — agreeing to boost cooperation to contain the threat.

Oba Of Benin Rejects Call For Postponement Of Election

The Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa, yesterday, warned against the postponement of the forthcoming general elections, describing it as a call to chaos and anarchy.

He predicted that the elections will be peaceful, but warned supporters of both President Goodluck Jonathan and Gen.Muhammadu Buhari to stop utterances capable of creating tension in the country.
The Benin monarch spoke through the Benin Forum, an umbrella body for all Binis at home and in Diaspora, led by the Esogban of Benin Kingdom, Chief David Edebiri. The forum is regarded as the mouth piece of the reverred monarch.

Parties pay supporters N2,000 each to attend rallies

A percentage of the crowd that turn up at election campaign rallies held by political parties for the forthcoming general elections is rented; investigations by Sunday Punch has shown,Each of those contracted for the rallies are paid between N500 and N5,000.

It was learnt that the amount paid depends on the profile of the event, the distance of the venue and the calibre of people engaged.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party and the major opposition party, All Progressives Congress, as well as other parties has been making claims, especially on social media, that the huge crowd that turn up at their campaigns was a proof of their popularity.

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has been found unconscious in a bath tub today. According to WSB-TV,the 21-year-old was discovered by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend who began CPR before police took over as they awaited an ambulance.

Bobbi  was pictured being wheeled out of the house on a stretcher. She appeared to be still unconscious and slumped over as paramedics lifted her into an ambulance. The unresponsive reality TV star was immediately transferred to North Fulton Hospital where she is still being treated in ICU.
