Nigerian military releases detained Russian Cargo plane

The Nigerian military has released the detained Russian cargo plane after France admitted ownership of the aircraft.

It said that the flight was covered by a diplomatic clearance given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, noting that the Autonov 124 Russian commercial plane was forced to land at the Kano airport because of dense air traffic at Ndjamena airport, Chad.

A statement from the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Jacques Champagne de Labriolle, on Sunday, stated that the Antonov plane had to divert to an alternate international airport and the  closest airport facility being Kano, the Russian crew decided to fly there, to refuel, and to take off again to reach Njamena Airport.

Ghanaian award winning actress Jackie Appiah is currently on set shooting a movie titled 'Jackie Appiah Goes To School' – themed on 'Our Community school' It is not that clear whether the movie is trying to portray the good side or the bad side of our community schools.

The producer of the movie, Uchenna Mbunabo, has managed to camp over 200 Ghanaian upcoming movie stars inside Suhum - in the Eastern region for shooting. On record, this will be the second time Jackie Appiah is playing a lead role as a school girl in a movie.

The first time, she was a senior secondary school girl in a movie titled, 'Death After Birth' produced by Roger Q Production – 2011.

Boko Haram's Cameramen Captured in Adamawa

Security forces have arrested Boko Haram's  professional cameramen who are experts in photo, video recording and filming of their attacks on communities and atrocities against innocent citizens. The terrorists were nabbed during patrols, surveillance and raid operations to track fleeing terrorists in communities around Adamawa State.

According to Vanguard ,Confirming the development, the Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade said four of those nabbed as they tried to escape in an SUV jeep with digital camera and weapons were taken into custody.He added that they are helping in ongoing investigation in one of the barracks.Also after Thursday’s killing of 67 Boko Haram terrorists who tried to over run the dynamite manufacturing town of Ashaka in Gombe state; Nigerian soldiers on patrol on Saturday engaged another group of terrorists of terrorists in the Kwanta community of Yobe area.

Just Because Of N10 TomTom, Woman Stabs Husband To Death

 A 22-year-old housewife, Aminat Aiyemobola, allegedly stabbing to death, her husband, Babatunde Aiyemobola, because he refused to give her the sum of N10 tobuy sweet for their child.

According to New Telegraph Newspaper, the mother of two, had asked her 40-year-old husband give her the money to buy the popular Tom-Tom sweet but his refusal led to a disagreement which led to her picking up a kitchen knife and fatally stabbing her husband to death. »

She is now being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID), Homicides section, Panti, Yaba, Lagos. The police reports that the incident which occurred at 4, Magbon Alade Street, Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos, and was reported to the police by the elder brother of the deceased, happened after Aminat was said to have asked her husband for N10 so that she could buy Tom-Tom sweet for their daughter but his refusal turned out to be lethal.
