Angry! Robbers Attack Bullion Van, Cart Away Millions of Naira

Some angry Armed robbers attacked a bullion van at Elemoso village along Ondo-Akure Road in the Ondo East Local Government Area of the state. The robbers were said to have looted the bullion van and escaped with undisclosed amount of money.

The bullion van and the escort vehicle were found ridden with bullets in the incident which was said to have occurred at about 4.50pm on thursday, while the robbers made away with the cash supposedly belonging to United Bank for Africa.

An eyewitness told Punch Metro that policemen that escorted the bullion van were caught unawares after the armed robbers rained bullets on the police escort vehicle and the bullion van simultaneously.
He said,

“The policemen and the driver of the van took to their heels immediately the hoodlums opened fire on them. The operation lasted for just about seven minutes. The speed breaker erected on the highway helped the armed men. They overtook the vans and opened fire on the policemen before they could realise what was going on. The men were better equipped because they operated with confidence.”

Prophet T.B Joshua Threatened with Arrest After Failing To Appear In Court for second time

TB Joshua failed to show up in court For the second time, after being summoned by the coroner, to testify regarding the synagogue building collapse which killed 116. The coroner Oyetade Komolafe, has threatened to order his arrest after failing to show up on November 5 and 19. According to vanguardngr, He said;

“We don’t want the impression to be created that The Prophet is avoiding the court, Any of the witnesses who is not in court today will be arrested. I think the court has been lenient enough.”

However, Joshua's lawyer, Olalekan Ojo, told reporters after the hearing:

“We have gone to the high court to challenge the jurisdiction of the coroner to issue a witness summons. The coroner has unconsciously exceeded his jurisdiction in that he has started inquiring into matters that are not causative of deaths. The Prophet has respect for the law of the land and will not do anything that will hurt the law, If at the end of the day, it is appropriate for The Prophet to appear he will be in court. We do not intend to abuse the legal process. Besides, The Prophet has a milk of human kindness. He is still grieving over the horrendous loss of lives. Coming to court is not proper. It is not a good way of showing respect for the dead.”
