BREAKING: Nigerian Troops Retake Chibok From Boko Haram Insurgents
This is such a good news this cool Sunday Afternoon. According to reports the Nigerian military has retaken the town of Chibok from Boko Haram insurgents who over took the town on Thursday.
It will be recalled that alot of residence in Chibok knowing the consequences flee leaving most of their belongings behind. The spokesperson of the Army in Maiduguri however confirmed the good news to Premium Times this afternoon. Now we need more towns to be retaken from them. Nigeria is not a country for rebels! U.S Hostage Killed By IS Militants
A video released onto the internet claims to show that Islamic State militants have killed the captured United States aid worker, Abdul-Rahman Kassig. In the video, a masked militant stands over a severed head said to be that of Mr. Kassig.
It was not immediately possible to confirm the authenticity of the video, showing a group of Syrian troops being killed. Mr. Kassig, also known as Peter, was captured last year, the BBC reports.
In October, an IS video of the killing of British aid worker Alan Henning had ended with a threat to Mr. Kassig. The U.S National Security Council said the intelligence community was working as quickly as possible to determine the latest video’s authenticity

Nigeria Soldiers, Boko Haram In Fierce Battle For Gombi
A ferocious fighting broke out yesterday between soldiers and Boko Haram insurgents in Gombi Local Government in Adamawa State, as troops tried to halt the insurgents’ advance towards the state capital Yola, located about 100km away, military sources said.
Sunday Trust gathered that the clash started at noon, after the sect members entered the town located along the Yola/Mubi highway, hours after they invaded neighbouring Hong Local Government where they killed an unspecified number of people and burnt down a police station.

A former Minister of State for Health, Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong, who is from the area confirmed the attack to our correspondent by telephone. 74 bodies of South African nationals who died in the September 12th Synagogue building collapse, have been released to the South African government and will be flown to South Africa this night.
The bodies which were retrieved from the General Hospital, Yaba and the Isolo General Hospital, were placed in mobile mortuaries pictured above. They will depart Nigeria via 2 chartered airplanes at exactly11.50pm. Upon their arrival in South Africa, the corpses will be handed to families of the victims for proper burial. May their souls rest in peace. Amen.

10 Injured As Unknown Gunmen Attack INEC Centre In Abeokuta
Armed men invaded yesterday, November 15, a centre of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in Oke-Efon in Abeokuta North local government area of the state, and seriously injured no fewer than ten persons.
According to the Vanguard, an eyewitness said the suspected thugs, armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, stormed the CVR centre located at the St. Mary African Church Primary School, Oke-Efon, Abeokuta at about 10:00am and allegedly attacked people confiscating their mobile phones and cash.
However, INEC officials and a policewoman attached to the centre immediately took to their heels during the melee. Describing the incident, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Sam Olumekun, said so-called skirmish had been brought under control.

Boko Haram: Step Aside soldiers, Borno Residents Prefer Local Vigilantes
Borno residents have urged their state government to employ the services of local hunters and vigilantes in recovering towns and villages captured by the Boko Haram Islamic sect.
Unconfirmed reports have it that local vigilantes in Adamawa have successfully taken back Mubi and Mahia towns from the insurgents, hence, the agitation of Borno residents for the use of hunters and vigilante groups in recovering seized territories.Jubrin Gunda, a lawyer in Maiduguri, who is also the Secretary of Borno Vigilante Group called Civilian JTF, implored the Borno government to allow the civilian fighters take up arms against the insurgents.
He said: “It is time for us to act toward recapturing the towns seized by the insurgents. I have been in constant touch with the Adamawa group because some of our vigilantes are part of the team. I monitor the operations from the beginning and I am very proud of them.”
