The Mainland IPP located within the Government Reserved Area (GRA), Ikeja, will bring to four, the number of IPPs so far embarked upon by the Lagos State government in partnership with some private investors.

$9.3m Cash Transfer: Security Source Confirms Pastor Oritsejafor Was Involved In Botched Arms Deal

Contrary to the denials of Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), details have surfaced confirming he was involved in the movement of $9.3 million cash to South Africa, purportedly for the purchase of arms.

A security source revealed to SaharaReporters that along with the pastor, President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, coordinated the movement of the cash, and that its original destination was Cyprus, not South Africa.
It would be recalled that the story and documents emanating from the Nigeria government are to the effect that the officials were going to use the money to buy arms from Tier One in South Africa. It turned out Tier One is not registered in that country to sell arms, and that it was going to buy them, somehow, from the ESD International Group Ltd in Cyprus.

TB Joshua Church Collapse: South Africans Intend to Sue

Two South Africans who lost relatives when a church hostel in Lagos collapsed have told the BBC they intend to sue Nigerian evangelist TB Joshua. The two men, who both lost sisters in the collapse, are appealing for more families to come together in bringing a case against the preacher.

At least 115 people, including 84 South Africans, died when the multi-storey building fell down earlier this month. The authorities say it had more floors than its foundation could hold.

On Sunday, Mr Joshua, who is one of Nigeria's best-known evangelists and is popular across Africa, announced plans to travel to South Africa to visit the families of the deceased.

Emergency workers allege they were prevented from participating in the rescue, only gaining full access to the site on Sunday afternoon - accusations denied by Pastor Joshua's Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

Six Ministers to Quit President Jonathan’s Cabinet

At least, six ministers may quit President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet in October as preparations for the 2015 general elections peak. The affected ministers are expected to resign their appointments in order to pursue their governorship ambitions in their respective states.

Their imminent resignation is expected to lead to a major shake-up in the Federal Executive Council. A Presidency source said the ministers’ exit would lead to constitution of “election cabinet” by Jonathan.
“Their resignation will come very soon. You know the President will have to fill the vacancies that will be created before the general elections in February 2015. You also know that the Senate must approve nominees.

SYNAGOGUE TRAGEDY: Conspiracy Theories Run Wild

Some outlandish conspiracy theories have been spread online after the tragic building collapse at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), the strangest of which claiming the ‘attack’ was masterminded by the US government.

An article written by ‘Sorcha Faal’, who claims to be a Russian writer with highly placed sources within the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, alleges that US President Barack Obama authorized an attack on The SCOAN because of their defiance to receive foreign visitors in the midst of the Ebola crisis in West Africa.

The article notes the similarity between the collapse of The SCOAN guesthouse and that of ‘Building 7’ on September 11th 2001, suggesting that highly advanced ‘directed energy weaponry’ was used. However, a brief online check suggests ‘Sorcha Faal’ is actually an American named David Booth who is a well known ‘conspiracy theorist’ and critic of the US government.

Another report circling from an alleged ‘military expert’ also proffers that advanced weaponry was involved. “The only remaining plausible explanation of the sudden collapse of the new building is the intervention of powerful forces, invisible to the human eye, caused by modern war machines equipped with mechanisms for producing extremely powerful beams of electromagnetic waves and very strong ultrasonic and infrared waves,” the anonymous military expert stated.
