Many Ugandan men have reportedly complained to the government that the condoms in Uganda are too small for them. The condoms have been described as being “too short for their sexual organs,” Metro UK reports.
According to reports, the small size of the condoms often leads to increased pressure during sex, which tends to cause the condoms to unexpectedly burst, thus providing inadequate protection against HIV.
About 80,000 people in Uganda die every year from HIV. Condoms are seen as an imperative means of battling the disease, and so the government is taking the complaints about the condoms very seriously, and is seeking a lasting solution to the issue.

Written by Stephen Davis(Australian negotiator). Read below:
I read with interest Asari Dokubo’s comments published on September 14 in the Daily Post. Asari is quite correct in saying that he knows me well and has met members of my family. In 2004, the Niger Delta was aflame with conflict. Asari, Ateke Tom and Tompolo were waging a fierce war against the Nigerian federal and state governments. Many people had been killed.
Nigerian military were having trouble contending with Asari’s guerrilla warfare. Small, highly mobile and heavily armed militant forces in fast boats struck across the Niger Delta targeting oil installations and military posts. Nigeria’s oil output at one point dropped to as low as 600,000 barrels per day and on average was halved to one million barrels per day. Continue...

Mrs. Monica Solomon, who suffered severe burns in the May 1 Nyanya blasts, has alleged being abandoned at the Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital. Her story:
On May 1, I was going to work. I alighted from commercial motorcycle and decided to buy mango at Nyanya bus stop, after which I was waiting to catch a bus to town. Not quite 10 minutes after, I turned and saw a man standing behind me while I was on queue.I became apprehensive and my spirit told me to move away from there. In fact, my spirit did not just like the way the man was standing. I could not ascertain whether he was a passenger or not. Two minutes later, I heard a blast.
When I heard the blast I shouted ‘Jesus Christ’. I became unconscious, the next thing I felt was somebody pushing me out of fire. He kept pushing me until it got to a point and I said ‘let me see the person pushing me’. When I opened my eyes I didn’t see anybody. At that point, I jumped up, and was shouting Jesus Christ’.

The 12 soldiers sentenced to death deserve to die - says Ex-Generals
While the rest of us are begging for leniency, Some retired senior military officers have backed the death sentence passed on 12 soldiers of the Nigerian Army for engaging in acts considered as mutiny.
The soldiers were court-martialled for a variety of offences, including firing shots at the General Officer Commanding, 7 Division of Nigerian Army, Maj Gen. Ahmed Mohammed, in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The military court, which convicted the soldiers in Abuja, found 13 out of the 18 soldiers guilty of mutiny, criminal conspiracy, attempted murder (shooting at GOC's vehicle); insubordination and false accusation.
Some retired General who spoke to Punch, said the death sentence was necessary for the military to maintain its age-long rules on discipline. In the aftermath of the conviction, some prominent Nigerians and pressure groups have urged the military not to carry out the sentences. But the retired senior military officers hailed the judgment and said it would have to be carried out.

In totally it was 750,000 naira.(I must state that though unacceptable, it is a common norm for journalists to be given cash or gifts as appreciation for covering both private and government events )
