Keshi Ranked Africa’s Best Coach

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi, has been ranked the number one coach in Africa and 14th in the world. The rankings by Football Coach World Ranking for September placed Keshi ahead of sacked Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah. Keshi moved up two places from last rankings despite not earning any point this month, while Appiah moved up one place to 32nd in the latest rankings.

The ranking of the top 50 coaches is dominated by managers who coached at the World Cup, with the top 15 almost exclusively for those who excelled at the World Cup with the exception of Spain’s Vicente Del Bosque who is placed second even though his side crashed in the group stage. “We did not ban Shoki” – National Brodcasting commission denies sanctioning Lil Kesh's song

Following reports that Lil Kesh‘s song, Shoki has been banned by the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation(NBC), the NBC has responded through its official twitter account that the song has not been outrightly banned.

Although the broadcast regulator mentioned that the song was not banned, a radio station was reportedly sanctioned for playing a club version of the song during the ‘Family Time’ belt, the period when children have access to the mass media like TV and radio. See NBC tweets after the cut...

Global billionaire population has reached a record 2,325 with the addition of 155 new billionaires in 2014. According to the Wealth-X and UBS Billionaire Census 2014, released yesterday, 155 new billionaires were minted this year, pushing the global population to a record 2,325 – a 7% rise from 2013.

The combined wealth of the world's billionaires increased by 12% to US$7.3 trillion, which is higher than the combined market capitalisation of all the companies that make up the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

The Wealth-X and UBS Billionaire Census 2014 – the only comprehensive, global study on the composition and dynamics of this top tier of the global ultra-high net worth (UHNW) population – shows that Europe, with 775 billionaires, is the region with the most billionaires and billionaire wealth (US$2.37 trillion). North America – the region with the most billionaire wealth in 2013 – was overtaken by Europe in terms of billionaire wealth in this year's census.

Pres. Jonathan condoles TB Joshua, Sends in Experts to Investigate Strange Building Collapse

President Goodluck Jonathan has sent experts to the scene of Strange synagogue building collapse to go in and look at the facts, with regards to finding out the real cause of the questionable collapse of the building.

Jonathan, who commiserated with TB Joshua over the sad incident, directed the team to conduct immediate investigation into the immediate and remote causes of the collapse and report back to the FG.

NEMA Director of Search and Rescue, Air Commodore Charles Otegbade led the FG team who arrived the scene along with other government officials, including experts on building control.
According to him, “The team has been mandated to collect all necessary data, samples from SCOAN for further investigation, with the aim of determining the immediate and remote cause(s) of the disaster.

Akon to supply electricity to Kenya (Photos)

According to reports, R & B singer Akon has promise to light up Kibera in Nairobi which is the largest urban slum in Africa. He first met President Uhuru Kenyatta in Washington DC during the US-Africa Summit in August to discuss his intentions in assisting the country with electricity, was at the State House Nairobi on Thursday, September 18, 2014, set up a meeting with the Energy CS Davis Chirchir, Kenya Power MD Ben Chumo, President’s Private Secretary Jomo Gecaga and Rural Electrification CEO and agreed on specifics for implementation that with be carried by ‘Akon Light Africa Project’.

Akon who was welcomed to the State House by Kenya president will participate in the rural electrification process and will hold another meeting with Rural Electrification Authority to finalize on specifics. More photos below…

How Boko Haram, ISIS, Al Qaeda Hold Secret Meeting In Mecca, Saudi Arabia During Hajj!

An organization in the United Kingdom has revealed why the Boko Haram terror group suddenly changed strategy from just killing and moving on to occupying captured territories and declaring them strongholds. The Islamist sect’s latest strategy was made possible through an alliance with the dreaded multinational terror group, Islamic State for Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Al-Shabab.

A report said it was the outcome of the meeting that made Boko Haram commenced the new strategy of overrunning places and declaring them territorial conquest enclaves, a system that was alien to the group until recently.

Prior to that meeting that led to the change, Boko Haram had only attacked, killed, maimed and moved on. But the alliance with the other terror groups educated it on the need to hold on to territories as conquest enclaves as that would further make it difficult to be repelled.

Death toll of South Africans Rises to 84 at Synagogue Collapsed Building!

The South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Lulu Mnguni, said the number of South Africans that died in the Friday September 12th building collapse at the Synangogue church has increased to 84 and that 265 South Africans survived the incident.

“The number has risen from 67 to 84, with more bodies discovered on Thursday, September 18th. The number of South Africans who were in the church might be higher, as we believe that some people organized the trip themselves without using travel agents.
"There are 265 South African survivors. Initially, there were 96 injured South Africans, but now there are only 29 still in hospital, including a three-year-old,” Mr. Mnguni Told AFP.

He also said that 17 South Africans are unaccounted for. It is believed that there were about 349 South Africans visiting the popular church at the time of the collapse.

AGAIN! Another Church building Collapses, One Reported Dead

There was anger among residents of Uzama Street, Uzebu quarters in Egor local government area of Edo State, following the collapse of a one-storey building belonging to Christ Chosen Church of God. The residents were not happy that the church authorities refused to call for rescue operations hours after the building collapsed. The residents blamed the church for using individuals to destroy the church instead of hiring a bulldozer.

A bus belonging to the church was set ablaze, while the youths vandalized the church properties. Officials of the church reportedly ran away after the building came down. The building served as offices and residential building for the church officials.
