Funke Akindele recently took to her Twitter to share some words of wisdom that bordered on the fleeting and ever-changing nature of life.

"Never get carried away by your present situation, a few years from now it’ll all seem like child’s play. #fact#noconditionispermanent,” Akindele said.

Her message was well received by fans who thanked her for her frank lines. “Thanks for the encouragement – just what I needed now,” said a fan, Yetunde Ayobolu.

Ghanaian Pastor Accuses T.B Joshua Of Sacrificing Human Lives

Isaac Owusu Bempah of Glorious Word Ministry International (GWMI) in Accra Ghana has accused Prophet T.B Joshua of human sacrifice. The pastor while on Okay FM yesterday on the Morning show said;

"This are evil hands at work because I know people who have to make human sacrifices in order to be promoted in the spiritual realm…I know some people will vilify me for making this known."

He also accused the SCOAN prophet for coming to Ghana some time ago and causing the death of four people during a programme he held.

Nigerian Governmet Summons Egyptian Ambassador Over Maltreatment Of 17 Year Old Medical Student

Federal Government on Thursday summoned the Egyptian Ambassador to Nigeria, Ashrat Salama over the maltreatment of 17- year-old Joshua Kunle Abdul-Azeez , a Nigerian medical student studying in Ukraine. In case you missed it (READ HERE). The Minister of State 1 for Foreign Affairs, Prof. Viola Onwuliri , who met with the ambassador expressed the country's displeasure over the issue and demanded for justice.

Joshua was allegedly maltreated by an Egyptian airline. The minister said,

"We cannot continue like this, Mr. President demands that the lives of Nigerians should be protected abroad. We demand explanation from your country."

"Egypt and Nigeria are friendly countries. You are not worried that Nigerian citizen was left without food for three days. I just want you to know that it is unacceptable to us and we demand apology from your country."

Missing Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 Helicopter Pilots Found Alive (Photos)

The engineering crew member of the crashed Nigerian Air Force Mi-35 Helicopter earlier declared missing has been found alive. The crew member, who was declared missing when his body could not be located in the vicinity of the crash, resurfaced at the military headquarters in Maiduguri today, having trekked through the bushes after the crash.

It is thus confirmed that Flight Lieutenant NM Halilu, Co-Pilot,(picture left) and Warrant Officer Augustine Nwanonenyi, the aircraft technician, (picture right) survived the crash while Flight Lieutenant Onyeka Nwakile was the only one lost in the crash. Continue...

South-West Schools To Re-Open On Monday

South West schools including Lagos State will re-open all secondary and primary schools on Monday, 22nd Of September, 2014 the State Government as announced through the Commissioner of Education. Other South West State Governors have also directed schools in their States to resume, except for Osun which would be resuming on the 6th of October.

The Lagos State government however passed a stern warning that it will sanction schools that default in implementing the basic preventive measures of the Ebola Virus Disease. The Lagos Commissioner of Education also said the first day of school would be dedicated to educating the students on various preventive measures.

"I never went to any Hospital" -Tinubu reacts to his alleged ill health

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Lagos last night with the declaration that he is as fit as a fiddle. Looking hale and hearty, Tinubu arrived Nigeria via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport aboard a chartered jet around 9.50pm.

The former Lagos State governor said he was never admitted in any London hospital, wondering where his “detractors” got the information that he was very ill – a rumour that gained grounds in the past two weeks.

He attributed the rumour to the handiwork of the ruling party, whose members, he said, were spreading bare falsehood because they wanted to know at every time his whereabouts and what he was up to politically.

APC is Lying About Tinubu’s Health Condition, says PDP

Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday urged residents to pray for quick recovery of the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who it claim was ill. The PDP also urged Tinubu’s family and Lagos State Government to be honest on the respected politician's state of health.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani, PDP said Lagosians were interested in knowing the true state of health of the former governor “whose medical bill is being paid with their taxes.” The statement said,

“We wish the former governor, Bola Tinubu, quick recovery as we are made to know from the grapevine that he is ill and in a hospital outside the country. We also feel that the family and the state government should have the obligation to let Lagosians know the actual state of his health.

2015: Obasanjo, Tambuwal absent as PDP endorses Jonathan

Nigeria's ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and the Speaker of the House of Reps were conspicuously absent from a meeting where the NEC of the Peoples Democratic Party endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole candidate for the 2015 presidential election.

The NEC took the decision after other organs, including the National Working Committee and the Chief Tony Anenih-led Board of Trustees said they had endorsed Jonathan during their meetings in Abuja.

Osun Govt Moves Schools Resumption To October 6 Over Ebola

The Osun State Government has directed all public and private Schools in the State to reopen for the year 2014/2015 academic activities on Monday, October 6, 2014. The announcement comes as the Federal Government and the Nigeria Union Of Teachers (NUT) continue talks on whether or not to resume on September 22, the schools resumption date set by the Federal Ministry of Education.

A statement signed by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Grace Titi Laoye-Tomori, who doubles as the Commissioner for Education, said that this would enable both principals and teachers to receive adequate training and put in place all necessary measures to prevent the Ebola epidemic in schools and in the state in general.

60 Boko Haram killed as Nigeria Military captured high ranking member

Wednesday, September 17, 2014 was a particularly bad day for stubborn Boko Haram terrorists operating in the North East as they lost scores of their members during repeated attempts to enter Konduga, about 70 kilometres to Maiduguri. But the icing on the cake of Nigerian troop’s victory of the day was capture of “a high ranking terrorists’ leader” who was seriously wounded and is currently being treated in a military medical facility.

Military sources informed PRNigeria that the terrorists leader whose name is still being kept a secret was captured after the second but more fierce battle waged by the group of insurgents to capture the town following their earlier routing by the military.

Among those captured yesterday in battles where over 60 terrorists were wiped off the face of the earth. Continue...
