NEW GTA!!! New-Gen Grand Theft Auto V Will Be Out In November, With More Improved Stuff (Watch Video)

The improved version of Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be out on November 18, according to the game's developer, Rockstar. The PC version will follow on January 27, 2015.

The company says the new edition of the massively popular game will contain new weapons, vehicles, activities, wildlife, and other technical advancements. Rockstar is promising at least 100 new radio songs, too.

Rockstar is also bumping up the GTA Online player limit to 30 for PS4/Xbox One players, they say, though there's still no word on when they'll be adding the much-requested heist system. There's also no word on if or when we'll ever see some sort of single-player downloadable content for Rockstar's ambitious open-world game. Continue...

Few hours ago, Thenet.ng report that music star, Iyanya is set to collaborate with American rapper, Nicki Minaj. Oh wait a minute, the collaboration isn’t free! Iyanya and his management are presently talking to her management to accept the sum of $300,000 which is approximately N50m for a collaboration.

When they reached out to his manager, Ubi Franklin, he denied they were talking to her team, but when probed further said, ‘I’ll be so glad if it happens, I’m very open to the idea of doing a song with her’ he said. Fingers crossed.

Ebola: South African Woman Quarantined In Lagos Tests Negative

A South African, Folswe Elizabeth Maria, suspected of showing symptoms of Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, as she arrived Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos yesterday, has been quarantined at the isolation ward in Lagos.

The female passenger who came on board Royal Air Maroc, from Morocco was on transit when she took ill at the transit area of the airport after using the toilet. The case was immediately reported to officials of the Port Health Services who used the Infra-red Thermometre to test her and discovered that she had high temperature. The passenger was later taken to an isolation centre and kept under observation before transferring her to the isolation ward.

It was further gathered that the woman had worked previously in two Ebola Virus Disease-prone countries of Guinea and Sierra Leone, thus fuelling suspicion that she could have contracted the disease.

Liberian Woman Commits Suicide In Lagos After Tested Positive To HIV

The picture above had been circulating since morning. It's a Liberian lady by the name Kate who committed suicide at a mechanic workshop in Magodo, near her neighbourhood. According to neighbours, they woke up this morning to see that Kate had committed suicide.

A source who didn't want his name mentioned but claimed to be very close to her, said Kate who had been sick for a while confided in her that, she recently went to an hospital where some tests were carried out on her, and it revealed she was HIV positive. She has been finding it difficult to live after that, but I never knew she would commit suicide. One of her friends also gave her money to return to Liberia to go and meet her husband, but she couldn't because of the Ebola outbreak in that country. See more photos after the cut...

Good Buy To exam cheats as WAEC introduces...

An end to examination malpractice in the country appears to be in sight. In its bid to tackle this men­ace, the management of West Af­rican Examinations Council (WAEC) has introduced two new ICT devices to curb the malaise with stakeholders describing the development as a major breakthrough to combat exam fraud.

Daily Sun gathered that one of the initiatives was used during the May/June 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) while the second one would be introduced during the Nov/ DEC 2014 WASSCE.

WAEC Head of National Office (HNO), Mr. Charles Eguridu, told Daily Sun that the devices were meant to check exam malpractice, saying that the measures were approved by the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) at one of its meetings.

Boko Haram Finally Agrees To Exchange 30 Chibok Girls For 18 Captured commanders!

There are indications that Boko Haram has agreed to swap some of the abducted 219 Chibok girls for 18 commanders. According to TheNation, they want to exchange the female students kidnapped in April for 18 key sect members currently in detention.

Some disagreements appeared last night however as the Nigerian authorities wanted Boko Haram to release all the 219 girls missing for almost 5 months, while the latter agreed to free only 30.

Video: Oscar Pistorious Found Guilty of Manslaughter of Reeva Steenkamp

Just yesterday, Pistorious was found not guilty of premeditated murder. But things has gone worst as the judge, Thokozile Masipa announced that Pistorious is guilty of manslaughter. He has also been found guilty of “discharging a pistol negligently in a public place,” but acquitted on two other firearms charges, Telegraph UK reports.

According to reports, the sentencing will probably will not take place today, and could take as long as two weeks before it is done.

Scientists Finally Prove There is Life After Death (See for yourself)

A team of psychologists and medical doctors associated with the Technische Universität of Berlin, have announced this morning that they had proven by clinical experimentation, the existence of some form of life after death. This astonishing announcement is based on the conclusions of a study using a new type of medically supervised near-death experiences, that allow patients to be clinically dead for almost 20 minutes before being brought back to life.

This controversial process that was repeated on 944 volunteers over that last four years, necessitates a complex mixture of drugs including epinephrine and dimethyltryptamine, destined to allow the body to survive the state of clinical death and the reanimation process without damage. The body of the subject was then put into a temporary comatic state induced by a mixture of other drugs which had to be filtered by ozone from his blood during the reanimation process 18 minutes later.

The extremely long duration of the experience was only recently made possible by the development of a new cardiopulmonary recitation (CPR) machine called the AutoPulse. This type of equipment has already been used over the last few years, to reanimate people who had been dead for somewhere between 40 minutes to an hour.

We have noted with surprise, the unnecessary hue and cry raised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other bigoted critics of the Jonathan Administration over the claim that the President is “hobnobbing” with the former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff who was recently accused by the Australian, Stephen Davis of being one of the chief sponsors of the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

The totally erroneous basis for that charge was the spurious claim that Senator Sheriff accompanied President Jonathan on his recent trip to Ndjamena as a member of his entourage.

Although Senator Sheriff himself has already given the lie to that claim through his Media Adviser, the Presidency wishes to affirm, for the purpose of emphasis, that the former Borno State governor was not on President Jonathan’s delegation to Chad.

Anambra State University renamed to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University

The Anambra House of Assembly has passed a bill changing the name of the state-owned university, Anambra State University of Science and Technology to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University today September 11th.

The Bill effecting the change was passed today during the plenary of the legislature in Awka to honour the former governor of Nigeria’s Eastern Region, who led a three-year war of secession against Nigeria which lasted until 1970.

The decision followed the report of the House Committee on Education which recommended the change of the name. Mrs Rita Maduagwu (APGA Nnewi South 2), the Chairman, House Committee on Education, recalled that the bill had been read the second time on the floor of the house on Dec. 17, 2013.

Taraba Governor Suntai Stuck Abroad Again

According to Sahara Reporters, Taraba State governor Danbaba Suntai, who suffered brain injuries in a 2012 air crash, is stuck in Wellington Hospital in London with his inner circle. The group had hoped to bring him back to Nigeria on September 9, but he has failed to improve sufficiently and appears incapable of governing the state.

Earlier on Thursday, 11 of the 13 members of the executive council wrote to the Taraba House of Assembly asking for an investigation into the medical condition of the governor in order to determine his physical and mental capacity to resume work as governor.

NECO 2014 June/July Result Released, 74.30 percent made five credits & above

The 2014 NECO June/July has been released! The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that 52.29 percent of the candidates that sat for June/July 2014 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) passed at credit level in five subjects, including English Language and mathematics.

The Registrar and Chief Executive officer of the Council, Professor Promise Okpala, who announced the result in Minna, said 74.30 percent of the candidates made five credits and above generally. He said that 978,886 candidates of the 989,622 that registered sat for the examination, which was conducted in 76 subjects.

Of 989,622 candidates that wrote the examination, 72.58 percent scored credit level and above in English Language, while 69.49 percent made similar grades in mathematics. In sciences, 72.86 percent of candidates that sat for Chemistry had credits, while 69.38 percent of physics candidates had credit levels and in biology 67.83 percent of the candidates made credit grades.
