#BringBackOurGirls Group Demand Sack Of Presidential Aides Over Bring Back Jonathan Banner

The #BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) advocacy group has called for the head of presidential aides or officials responsible for the offensive #BringBackGoodluck2015 campaign banners, which sprung up in strategic locations of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Leader of the group, Aisha Yusufu made the call on Wednesday in Abuja during the group’s daily sit-out at the Unity Fountain.

President Goodluck Jonathan in a statement yesterday signed by his spokesman, Reuben Abati, said the #BringBackGoodluck2015 banners were put up without his knowledge or approval even as he affirmed that it was a highly insensitive parody of the #BringBackOurGirls hash tag.

But the BBOG was not satisfied with the president’s explanation, insisting that someone needs to be held accountable and made to pay for the insensitivity meted out on the grieving Chibok parents on their daughters’ abduction by the Boko Haram sect.

Does Oil and Boko Haram Mix? Crude Oil Discovered In Borno

Precious oil was discovered in Borno in the Lake Chad basin in 2012. After oil was discovered in the basins in neighboring Chad and Niger, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC commenced serious prospecting in the Chad, Anambra and other basins with high expectancy of discovering oil. True to the projection, in 2012 oil was found in the Borno Lake Chad basin.

But as is the curse of all regions in the third world where oil is found, perhaps not by pure coincidence, a new Boko Haram II terror group reappeared in Borno and was powerfully sponsored to take over from where the defunct Yusufiyyah initial Boko Haram I group that was destroyed by late Umaru Yar’Adua, used to function. This new Boko Haram II was more brutal and determined to kill or expel all indigenes from the oil endowed northern state.
Is Boko Haram interested in the oil wealth buried under the Bornu soil? Is Boko Haram a purposeful tool to inhibit and frustrate the plans to begin exploration of commercial oil from Borno? The plan to explore was set for this 2014, but obviously with Boko Haram in control of the land under which this northern oil find was made, there will be no exploration and harvesting of oil any time soon.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Gets 6 Weeks to Reconcile with his Wife Anita

This is good news. If things are allowed to work out fine from this stage, Pastor Chris and his wife might just be back in each other's embrace. It is possible, keep your fingers crossed and pray for them.

Indications have emerged that reconciliation moves are on course between the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife Rev. Anita, who have been in the news in the past week over the divorce proceedings the latter filed in a court in the UK. The divorce case, with suit number FD14D01650, was filed on 9th April 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn in London by Anita’s lawyers, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors.

To have a divorce in the UK, both parties must have a marriage that is legally recognised in the UK, and have a permanent home in England or Wales.

In fact, for Anita to Divorce Pastor Chris, there are 5 grounds:
Alleged relationship with other women, unreasonable behaviour; desertion; 2 years separation; and 5 years’ separation. In the case of Rev. Chris, adul-tery wasn’t cited but the decree nissi was reportedly served to him during a recent visit to the UK.

Oscar Pistorius Found Not Guilty of Murder

Oscar Pistorius has been found not guilty of the pre-meditated murder (Intentional killing ) of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. The judge said there were not enough evidence to prove him guilty that the case was based entirely on circumstantial evidence and dismissed the witness testimony. She added saying the witnesses were unreliable as most of what they said weren't accurate and even if Oscar was evasive with some facts, it doesn't mean he's guilty of murder.

This would be argued based on his state of mind at the time. Culpable homicide is murder by negligence. She will compare his conduct with that of a reasonable thinking person, and the question would be if a reasonable thinking person would act like he did under the same circumstances.

The sentencing is purely based the discretion of the judge and precedence(Previous cases).
