After the tussle for its release in Nigeria, one of the most-awaited films of this year ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ a screen adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie’s bestselling novel of the same name, will be available in cinemas across the country from today, 1st of August 2014. The film, Half Of A Yellow Sun, made its world premiere at the 38th annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) at the Winter Garden Theatre, Toronto, Canada, on Sunday, September 8. The movie which has been released in cinemas in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand has performed tremendously well and it is expected to do more in the Nigerian market, as the producer, director and writer are all Nigerians. The movie generated Two Hundred and Eighty Million Naira (N280,000,000) abroad from cinema releases, in-flight viewing right sales, and online viewing right sales. Continue...
