Jim Iyke Runs Out Of Liberia With Fear Of Contracting Deadly Ebola Virus
Jim Iyke might seem like the baddest and bravest man in his movies but when it comes down to reality, everything changes. The veteran Nollywood actor has jetted out of Liberia’s capital city Monrovia with his business plans unfinished. He revealed that he is scared about the deadly virus and although his business plans were not concluded, he had to leave. Jim posted this photo of himself sitting in the airport’s VIP lounge, wearing a face mask. Although it has not be revealed that the virus is now airborne, Jim seems to be taken his own precautionary steps. ” Monrovia, unfinished biz; Leavin tonite. Asari Dokubo Takes Shot At Goodluck Jonathan
This is a new turn of events as Dokubo seemed to be always on the side of President Goodluck Jonathan, at least till yesterday. On Tuesday, leader of Niger-Delta Peoples Volunteers Force Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari slammed President Jonathan over his comment that there would have been crisis if Gen. Muhammadu Buhari died in the Kaduna blast. He said that placing one life over 80 other people that died was completely wrong.

“I do not work for Jonathan. What the President said was wrong. The life of Buhari is not more important than 87 people that died in that blast. It is unfortunate that the President made such a statement.
I wonder why the President will be promoting one person above other Nigerians. That statement from the President was very unfortunate. I do not have the capacity to tell the President to apologise, but I still insist that he should not have made such a statement. Continue...

Many Feared Dead As Female suicide bomber attacks Kano Polytechnic
A female suicide bomber Today blew herself up at Aminu Kano College of Islamic Studies this afternoon July 30th around 2.45 as students were checking their results in the school. We cannot ascertain the number of casualties but the Kano State Police Command has confirmed the blast in the school. More Details later.
Very Sad!!! 4-Month-Old Boy Dies from Ebola Virus!
It is truly heartbreaking to hear about the numerous individuals that have passed away from the deadly Ebola Virus. One of the latest casualties of the disease is a 4-month-old baby boy called Faya, who died in Gueckadou, South East Guinea, BBC reports. Faya is said to have caught the virus from his mother, who died a few weeks ago. His corpse has been buried in a forest. The boy’s family is reportedly “too scared” to attend his funeral.
“I was there with him just before he died…I had been feeding him milk. I stepped away, just for a short break, but then I was called back and he was dead. I was totally devastated,” said Adele Millimouno, a Medicines Sans Frontieres (MSF) nurse who was taking care of the baby. The International Federation of the Red Cross and Medicines Sans Frontieres told BBC that “the [Ebola] situation across West Africa remains out of control.”

Tinubu, Akande Visit Buhari In Kaduna
Former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside former interim national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande and national publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, yesterday visited former military head of state, General Muhammadu Buhari in his Sultan close residence in Kaduna, to commiserate with him over the recent suicide bomb attack that was targeted at him. The visit and discussions, which held behind closed doors, lasted longer than an hour.
Although Tinubu, who led the team would not take questions from newsmen after their meeting, he however shook hands with reporters present before leaving the Kaduna home of the former military ruler, who is also a national leader of the APC. It was however gathered from an inside source that Tinubu and the other APC chieftains, who were there to commiserate with General Buhari, also discussed some burning national issues.

“the visit is not unconnected with the recent attempt on the life of the general. You should know that the development had continued to attract dignitaries to Kaduna on sympathy visit to him”.
General Buhari too declined to speak to journalists. He simply said, “I have issued a statement before and I cannot say anything contrary to that”.
Suicide Bombing: Beware Of Strange Females Wearing Hijabs – Police
Following the new dimension introduced by Boko Haram in its terror attacks, the Borno State Police Command has issued a statement calling on members of the public to beware of ladies covered with hijab and standing by the roadsides or asking to be assisted to find a direction to a particular place, as those ladies might have suicide bomb vests concealed under their dress. A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Gideon Jubrin (DSP) in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital stated:
“the Borno State police command wish to congratulate the Muslim faithful on the celebration of the Ei-del-Fitri, which took place without any incident.
“The command however still cautions residents to be wary of strange females wearing hijabs and moving around crowded places as some of them may be hiding explosives in their under garments with the intention of causing harm to unsuspecting residents”. Continue reading...
