Kefee's burial arrangement announced

Burial arrangements for late Pop-Gospel singer, Irikefe Obareki Don-Momoh have just been announced on behalf of the family, by the Kefee Memorial Committee (a coalition of Kefee's family & friends in the Gospel Music & Entertainment Industry).

The singer will be laid to rest at her hometown, Okpara Inland in Delta State this Friday 11th July. Read full details after the cut...

Photos of Nigerian Women In Italy For Honest Work End Up As Prostitutes

Police control find a Nigerian woman working as a prostitute in the outskirt of Turin. Nigerian women who came to Italy to work as nannies or in factories often end up working the streets as prostitutes. Paris-based photographer Elena Perlino, originally from Italy, decided to highlight their plight to the world. She began to notice the presence of young African women working on the streets during her commutes from Turin.
She said:
"I decided to start from this surreal vision to tell a story. I have been working on the topic for several years, focusing mainly on the Italian connection."
According to Perlino, many Nigerian women come to Italy hoping to make enough money from honest work as nannies or factory workers to support their families back home, but are tricked by traffickers into working in the sex trade. Video: Two planes almost collide on runway at Barcelona airport

The heart stopping moment two planes nearly collided on a runway in Barcelona, Spain has been captured on camera. The incident, which happened on Saturday, shows a plane crossing a runway as another plane is coming in for a landing and had to abort just seconds before touching down, with the pilot carrying out an emergency 'go-around' procedure.

The jet, which had travelled from Russia, landed safely shortly afterwards. The video of the dramatic moment was posted on Youtube. See more pics and the video after the cut...

Rwandan president welcomes Davido at airport as he performs to 60k fans

Rwanda president Paul Kagame welcomed the Davido with his wife and children at the airport. The concert which started that night was headlined by Africa’s biggest act Davido.performed to 60, 000 excited fans. When it was time for his back to back hits Gobe, ‘Skelewu’ and ‘Aye’, the crowd went ballistic. There were 9 East African presidents at the show that night; Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta were among the presidents at the show. Vincent Enyeama Listed As Fourth Best Goalkeepers In The World; See Full List

Even though Nigeria have been knocked out of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Eagles number one Enyeama, has been getting praise by the foreign press and media for his amazing perfomance in the Eagles goal. The Lille of France goal stopper was named number four ahead of World cup record holder Tim Howard and Newcastle penalty hero Tim Krul.

1. Manuel Neuer (Germany & Bayern Munich) The German machine got going in the championship early on, wiping Portugal 4-0 and conceding only three goals so far. During their first match Neuer showed how great and flexible he is when he produced a superb save from a stoppage-time free-kick to prevent Portugal. Neuer shot stopping quality are obvious but his impressive input for the team has been his way of playing the sweeper keeper role and never being punished by any striker yet.

*Surprisingly Neuer has only conceded three goals and those three goals where against African side in the Tournament, two against Ghana and one against Algeria. Continue...
