And again, a policeman was beaten up yesterday for shooting a driver. The incident happened along Patigi Road in Kwara State. According to eye-witnesses, the policeman and a few of his colleagues stopped a driver delivering telecoms equipment to a site at Patigi and allegedly demanded for money. When the driver refused to part with money, an argument ensued and he was shot in the arm. After the shooting, a mob descended on the policemen but were only able to catch one as the others ran away.

Singer Harrysong denies saying his parents were siblings

Popular singer, Harrysong a.k.a Mr. Songz has released a statement denying he ever granted an interview where he revealed his parents were siblings. Harrysong said the interview, which was published on April 22nd, was fabricated. The statement from his publicist below...

"I have not granted any magazine an interview in the last 12 months where I spoke about my late parent so I find it worrisome, disheartening that a magazine would manufacture a story like such. It is disturbing,’ Harrysong vents.

Former Barcelona Coach, Tito Vilanova Dies Of Cancer

A former Barcelona coach, Tito Vilanova, has died at the age of 45 after a long battle with cancer, this afternoon. He was rushed to the hospital yesterday when his health detoriated and passed on this afternoon. Barcelona had announced that Vilanova was suffering from parotid gland cancer for the second time in December 2012, after he was first diagnosed a year earlier in November 22. He was forced to resign his job when he could not cope with the demands of the job.  Vilanova was 45. May his soul rest in peace.
