Nigerian Boy Mistaken for Gang; Shot And Stabbed In His Own House

A 15 year-old boy named Kieran Obazee was shot and stabbed on Friday Nov. 22 at his east London home by gang members in what police believe may have been a case of mistaken identity. The boy survived the attack. However, he is currently in a hospital in a very bad condition. As it was gathered, five men wearing balaclavas and armed with kives and a gun forced their way into the home in Plaistow just before 3am on Friday. Further a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. It is believed by the detectives that the boy was mistakenly taken for a member of a gang.
This morning a Scotland Yard spokesperson said:

"The person who may have been involved in a gang was staying at the address and they may have been the target, but the boy who was attacked had no criminal background."

Asari-Dokubo Arrested in Benin Republic!

The leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, was today arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic. A statement by his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, said Dokubo was picked up by the police between 1:00pm and 2:00pm around the Lubeleyi roundabout, and taken to an unknown destination.
The wealthy former militant reportedly opened a private university in the Benin Republic, the King Amachree African University that is preparing to start degree-awarding programmes in 2014. Continue...

ASUU Update: EBSU Withdraws From ASUU, Resumes tomorrow

Authorities of the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) have decided to pull out of the ongoing 5 Month old strike. According a terse statement by the institution’s Registrar, Mr. Sam Egwu, the decision came after the ASUU National Executive Council failed to end the four-month strike at the weekend meeting. Academic activities will resume in all the university campuses tomorrow, Tuesday, November 26.
