Man Died In Tank trying to steal Petrol

 

A 25-year-old man suffocated and died in a petrol tank trying to steal petrol. Zayyanu Abubakar, has been evacuated from inside a petrol tanker compartment where he suffocated and died on Friday, Oct. 4, while stealing petrol. The man fell inside the tank of the vehicle, parked along Sokoto western bye-pass, loaded with 33,000 litres of petrol. The victim was alleged to have earlier on the night stolen 20 litres from the fuel compartment and had come back for more. It took the police four hours to remove the decomposed body from the tankers belly.

Boy Boards Flight Without Ticket

A "smart" nine-year-old boy managed to pass through a security checkpoint at a Minnesota airport and hop on a flight to Las Vegas without a boarding pass, authorities have said. Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan told ABC News that the boy who arrived alone at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Thursday, headed for the airport concourse after been screened by officials - where he boarded an 11:15 a.m. flight on Delta to Sin City. Hogan said the flight crew became suspicious of the nine-year-old's travel circumstances and called the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, who took the boy into custody upon landing.

"The fact that the child's actions weren't detected until he was in flight is concerning," he said. "More than 33 million people travel through Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport every year, and I don't know of another instance in my 13 years at the airport in which anything similar has happened.

FG Suspends Dana Airline License

 

The crisis in the aviation sector is far from over. 3 days after a tragic crash involving an Associated Airlines plane that killed 14 people in Lagos, the Federal Government, through the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority on Sunday night, announced the suspension of Dana Air’s operations nationwide. The decision to suspend Dana’s operations came 24 hours after the NCAA also grounded the operations of Associated Airlines, whose Embraer 120 plane crashed near a fuel depot just two minutes after takeoff at the Lagos airport, killing about 15 personalities.

The charter plane was conveying the remains of a former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, to Akure for interment. It also had on board 20 people, including officials of Ondo state government, family members and friends of Agagu.
