Business: How to Start a Foundation
If you're a successful entrepreneur who wants to give back to the
community, you might be thinking of starting your own foundation. But
first, be sure you understand the many demands of running a nonprofit
organization.
Creating a foundation can be rewarding, but it requires much more than financial support, says Janne Gallagher, senior vice president and general counsel of the Council on Foundations in Arlington, Va. Among other things, foundation founders must get up to speed on laws and regulations, oversee operations, attract donors, and review programs for possible funding. Some businesses instead choose to establish a fund through a community charity, but don't necessarily have the final say in how money is distributed. For those who want to retain control through their own foundation, here are several important steps to take:

Miracle!! - Agagu's Son-in-law survived Plane Crash
It was miraculous survival for Mr. Femi Akinsanya in yesterday’s Associated Airlines’ plane crash Akinsanya, son- in-law of the late former Governor Olusegun Agagu whose body was being conveyed to Akure, the Ondo State capital from Lagos for burial, walked out of the remains of the Embraer 120 aircraft. Akinsanya, along with his brother in-law, Mr. Feyi Agagu, the late Agagu’s son, were the only family members of the late governor on board the ill-fated plane. As it turned out, they were among the seven survivors. As the aircraft crashed, Akinsanya, a Lagos businessman, was seen walking out of the wreckage before the aircraft caught fire. He suffered a minor injury on his head.
As he walked away, apparently conscious, Air Force men who were among the first set of rescuers at the site, stopped him. They assisted him to stop the flow of blood on his head. He told them he wanted to go home to join his family, according to an eyewitness. But the Air Force personnel told him he was under the Federal Government’s custody and could not go. They took him to the nearby Air Force clinic.

TB Joshua Predicted the Plane Crash In Lagos
Last Sunday, during his live Sunday service, TB Joshua said "His church members should fast and pray, specifically on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday" (the day of the Agagu’s corpse plane crash). His reason? He told his congregation that he saw ‘a gathering of TEARS’. Agagu’s village people also confirmed that they saw the same revelation and prayed and fasted but sadly there was nothing they could do to forestall the unfortunate incident.
Agagu's burial holds today despite the great tragedy
Late Dr. Olusegun Agagu, the immediate past governor of Ondo State, will be buried today as planned despite the great tragedy that occurred yesterday. Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State, Ebenezer Alabi, said: “We just consulted with the family and have decided to go ahead with the burial.
“More so, the son of the former governor survived and the son-in-law survived. There was no scratch on the casket. “So while the family sympathised with those that lost their lives and their loved ones, they have decided to go ahead with the burial as was initially planned.”
Also, the body of the former governor, which was still intact despite the plane crash, is in transit to Iju-Odo, his country home and final place of rest. It was gathered that the family of late Agagu in Iju-Odo had ordered that his remains be conveyed to his home town, yesterday, by road to continue with the burial arrangement.
A dependable family source said that the burial will now be done without the usual pomp and pageantry.
