EBOLA: 850 soldiers returning from Liberia to be quarantined

About 850 Nigerian soldiers on peacekeeping mission in Liberia are to be quarantined for 28 days when they return to the country in March 2015. A source  told Punchng  that the Army personnel were scheduled to return to the country in January but that their arrival would be delayed till March 2015. He said
“You know that our soldiers in Liberia are to return to the country from two mission areas, Liberia and Sudan.“The men of the Nigerian Army Battalion 43, in Sudan, will arrive in the country in December, and may be allowed to go their units on arrival in the country.
“But the arrival of their counterparts from Liberia, who were initially supposed to arrive in the country in January, will be delayed. The UN has not approved their movement so they will leave Liberia for Nigeria in March.
“Another thing is that even when they arrive in the country, they will be kept at a military barracks being built at Gwagwalada for 28 days before they are released to go to their units.

'I should have died instead' - First Consultant boss recounts losses

The Chief Medical Director of First Consultant Hospital, Dr Benjamin Ohiaeri, has recounted the huge loss his hospital suffered in the wake of the recent Ebola epidermic in Nigeria.
Dr Ohiaeri says he wonders why he did not die along with his staff who contracted the deadly viral disease. He said this while receiving former Governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, who came to commiserate with the hospital over their huge loss.
"The events of the past months have been very overwhelming to say the least. I have refrained from speaking all these while because I wanted to tell my story in a sequential manner. We have lost a lot of things-our laboratory, laundry, nursing room, monitoring line- name it. But none of these compares to the human resource losses. When people come here and ask me how much equipment we have lost, I say to them that the most important equipment to me are the people. I recall that some of my colleagues with who we took decisions together are now late. I cannot understand it. I wonder why I am still alive and not dead? I wonder why the dead are not like me?"

How a 22-Year-Old Single-handedly Rescued 3 relatives from Ebola!

It can be exhausting nursing a child through a nasty bout with the flu, so imagine how 22-year-old Fatu Kekula felt nursing her entire family through Ebola. Her father. Her mother. Her sister. Her cousin. Fatu took care of them all, single-handedly feeding them, cleaning them and giving them medications. And she did so with remarkable success. Three out of her four patients survived. That's a 25% death rate -- considerably better than the estimated Ebola death rate of 70%.

Fatu stayed healthy, which is noteworthy considering that more than 300 health care workers have become infected with Ebola, and she didn't even have personal protection equipment -- those white space suits and goggles used in Ebola treatment units.

Instead Fatu, who's in her final year of nursing school, invented her own equipment. International aid workers heard about Fatu's "trash bag method" and are now teaching it to other West Africans who can't get into hospitals and don't have protective gear of their own.

Fame has changed Wizkid -Former producer, Samklef Open Up

Wizkid Speaking exclusively to LIB. Samklef, who produced Wizkid's hit single Tease Me and five other songs in Wizkid's first album, said the superstar singer has not only refused to work with him again, he's also going about dissing his (Samklef) talent.
"I'm not happy with Wizkid. I like his music, but I don't like him as a person anymore. The reason I don't like him anymore is, why do you go about spoiling other people's business? I never spoiled your business, never came out to say anything bad about you for four years. So why would you go to an OAP and tell the OAP that the reason why you no longer work with me is because my beat is amateur. What does that mean? Those amateur beats was what brought you to limelight, was what made you meet the same Akon who first dropped 'Don't Dull' on your voice." Samklef said.

Dangote sues Zambian Labour minister over bribe claim

Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote's company in Zambia, Dangote Industries Zambia is suing the country's Labour Minister, Fackson Shamenda, for defamation. The company initiated the lawsuit after the mr Shamenda claimed that a senior company official of Dangote Industries tried to bribe him. The company is now seeking unspecified damages for slander and libel as well as special damages in the sum of 112,042.84 kwacha ($17,728), according to documents filed in the High Court.

On September 15th, a local newspaper, Namibian Post, carried a story with the headline "Dangote offers Shamenda a bribe" where the labour minister claimed that a Nigerian human resources manager from the company offered him a bribe which he rejected.
"He told me that it was a tradition in their culture to give someone a token of appreciation. May I take this opportunity to warn Dangote and all other investors in the country to avoid enticing government officials with bribes -- it hinders progress." Shamenda was quoted as saying.

Nigerian Soldiers Arrested For Leaking Vital Information To Boko Haram

Boko Haram can not really thrive without inside help, hence the military need to be more vigilant. I hear they have arrested several soldiers, who were discovered to have leaked vital security information on the troops’ strategies and tactics to Boko Haram that led to a series of ambush and killing of over 30 Nigerian soldiers by the rag-tag terrorists in recent times.

Sources say, most of the arrested soldiers serve as orderlies or ADCs to Commanders of Troops on the field. Can you imagine that?
“The situation became so bad that there was mutual suspicion among fellow commanders, the Brigade headquarters and even the Division headquarters. But at last, the moles were found out to be some of the orderlies and aides of Commanders. What they do is that after operational briefings and troops take off, these moles immediately pass on the information through calls.”

Rapper M.I finally reveals The Real Reason He took a break from Music

Last Month, shortly before he dropped a new single titled King James, M.I took to twitter to say he was leaving music. On Sunrise Daily on Channels Tv, he opened up on why he said that, why he hasn't released an album and the effect his brother’s departure from Chocolate City label had on his career

On his long absence from the music industry
Chairman is a song I released last year, and the next day after I released the song, a couple of changes started happening in the label.First was my brother(Jesse Jagz) wanting to leave which I didn’t know about ,we discussed it and I understood where he was going with that. But, it just sort of changed the dynamic of the label, and what happens with music is that ,when you are producing music and relying on people, when that changes you might need some time to reassess and come back.So I was supposed to put out my album last year, but it was a good opportunity for me to re-access and be like this is what I want to do going forward.

Watch Out for These 7 Heart-Attack Symptoms!

Health They Say Is Wealth..Take Your Health Seriously!

Shortness of breath/racing heart

It can be difficult to differentiate between a panic attack and a heart attack because they share symptoms. A few distinguishing characteristics: Panic attacks can be triggered (though not always) by a stressful event, and other signs might include trembling, intense terror and an overwhelming sense of doom. Panic attacks also typically come on suddenly and pass within five minutes, while women’s heart-attack symptoms tend to start slowly and linger. The only way to be sure what’s happening is to get to the ER. Continue...

"Rev. Okotie lacks moral right to question Oritsejafor" - CAN Fires Back

The association was reacting to the demand by Okotie that its President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, should resign over the alleged involvement of his aircraft in the controversial $9.3m smuggled into South Africa by two Nigerians and an Israeli.

Okotie, had in a statement by Okotie on his church’s Facebook page, said, “Considering the collateral damage Pastor Ayo’s close relationship with the President has done to the Christian community, it is fit and proper for the Pastor to resign immediately as CAN President to salvage what remains of the battered image of the association.
“This is without prejudice to the on-going investigation on the matter. Denials of his culpability by the Federal Government, CAN officials and his own recent defense, does nothing to reduce the moral burden this whole saga places on his shoulders. As the titular leader of Christians in Nigeria, there’s now a serious crisis of confidence on his leadership and he ought to respond to it by resigning from his exalted position.”
